Our customer is a development organisation that supports achieving human rights and upholding the attitude of self-determined development. They stand for development that balances economic viability, environmental suitability and social benefit, foster intercultural exchange of ideas, the exchange of experiences and knowledge. They work with CSO, private sector and government actors and encourage exchange among them at local, national and international levels.

         National programme officer: Organisational development and capacity building

 

Main duties and responsibilities:

 

  • Facilitate the development of purpose-oriented organisational structures in national research systems
  • Support evolving organisational structures in priority setting, cooperation and communication
  • Plan and facilitate effective capacity building interventions in close coordination with the overall approach and work of project
  • Provide support to the development of effective advocacy strategies
  • Monitor effectiveness of interventions
  • Write briefings, document and share good practices and lessons learned

 

Requirements:

 

  • Master’s Degree in Public Management, Political Science, Social Science, Organizational and Institutional Development or related fields (PhD would be a plus)
  • A minimum of 4 years interdisciplinary work experience (preferably working in private and/or governmental sector, CSO-civil society organizations, academic field)
  • Strong experience in networking and organizational development
  • Experience in planning, process facilitation and organization, networking, project planning, and reporting
  • Experience in advocacy (not a must but would be an advantage)

 

Competencies and skills:

 

  • Computer skills (MS Office)
  • Language: Fluency in English both written and spoken required, Albanian language would be a strong plus
    • Excellent understanding of organizational systems and their dynamics
    • Excellent skills in process facilitation
    • Strong intercultural competencies
    • Results-oriented, highly motivated person
    • Excellent listening and communication skills (with sensitivity to cultural communication differences)
