Partners&Orka advertising and HR agency for the a renowned client from Abu Dhabi searching for a candidate for the position of:

Job Title:                    Hostess

Reports to:                 Outlet In charge

Responsible for:       Greet incoming & departing guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact, escort them to assigned dining area, present menus, announce waiter’s name use visual cues to seat guests in either the bar or dining area depending on their preference.

Inform guests of current promotion and who will be serving them to ensure smooth handoff to the service staff.

Answer incoming calls to the outlet and provide appropriate service and follow reservations guidelines accordingly.

Manage the flow of guests into the bar & dining areas, provide accurate wait times to incoming guests if appropriate and trend to special guest needs and requests and ensure they receive high quality service.

Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol control, door and entry policies

Conditions of Work:

Normal office conditions as provided by the Establishment, however work may be required to be conducted off-site visits or perform some duties in outdoor environments.

Working Hours:

As per UAE labour law, 48 hours per week excluding break (Lunch, Dinner, Etc.). Refer to individual contract.

Role Overview:

To ensure that the guest’s needs are carried out from check-in through check-out.

Hostess presents a positive first impression of the Establishment’s friendliness, excellent    service and high standards.

Main Duties:

  • Prepare registration cards for the next day’s arrivals.
  • Arrange the ‘Meet & Greet’ service.
  • Ensure the guest is escorted promptly to his/her designated table.
  • Check arrivals for the day, checking if the designated tables are ready and ensuring service crew are informed to place VIP amenities prior to arrival.
  • Ensure the Source code of the Leisure Club is input into each reservation coming in for the outlet.
  • Work closely with marketing personnel to ensure that promotional campaigns, flyers, advertising materials and social media channels are well maintained and guests’ data is updated.
  • Escort departing guests for the day, update their invoices.
  • To co-ordinate table changes and advise the concerned Departments accordingly.
  • To promptly and accurately file the updated registration of arrived guests.
  • Comply with Guest Services Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ensure tidiness of the designated tables.
  • Maintain availability of mise-en-place.
  • Close the bar set up and secures all Food & Beverage equipment at the end of the day.


  • Assist the Guest Services team in their daily operation whenever required.
  • Should have a sound knowledge of all menu items and the service procedures.
  • To assist the guests during food service as required.
  • Must exercise correct service techniques at all times.
  • She must be completely familiar with the operational environment and must follow the detailed instructions given to her by the manager at all times when working.
  • Assists guest when arriving and departing.
  • Clean up any accident that might have occurred immediately.

  • Reports to the manager anything she cannot handle alone and reports any complaint immediately.

Other Duties             

  • Ensure you have a complete understanding of the outlet policy relating to Fire, Health, Hygiene and Safety.

Perform other related duties as directed by Senior Management


Required Experience, Skills & Competencies (Essential & Desired)

  • Good in Verbal and Written Communication Skill in English language.
  • Capable of carrying out the responsibilities of duties.
  • Dedicated & Self-reliant, can work under pressure long hours.
  • Guest oriented, friendly, approachable & Cooperative.
  • Efficient in service, quick and orderly in cross selling.
  • Must be able to hear well in a loud environment in order to answer telephone and respond to guests requests.
  • Must be able to walk, stand, reach and bend during entire shift and stay focused and alert for extended periods of time.
  • Minimum Two – Three years’ experience in Night Club’ industry is essential.
  • A desire to help out where needed and work as part of the team and having passion to provide extraordinary service aside from the flexibility to work a variety of shifts. (Multitask).
  • Planning, basic math and Computer literacy.
