Accounting & Reporting Specialist – Local Tax Compliance

Job description    

  • Ensure accurate and timely execution, preparation, and submission of financial reports in compliance with IFRS, local GAAP, tax regulations, and other statutory frameworks
  • Maintain high-quality accounting and reporting as a base for business steering, compliance, and regulatory obligations
  • Review, prepare, and submit tax returns (VAT, corporate income tax, withholding tax, and other statutory filings), ensuring compliance with local legislation and deadlines
  • Perform VAT calculations, reconciliations, and ensure proper tax treatment of intercompany and third-party transactions
  • Handle communication and correspondence with local Tax Authorities and external auditors on tax and compliance matters
  • Identify and address quality issues in reporting and tax compliance, communicating corrective actions to the team and management
  • Perform reconciliations, analytical reviews, and maintain strong internal controls across accounting and tax processes
  • Review, prepare, and post journal entries, costs, revenues, accruals, intercompany charges, and treasury-related tasks (cash flow)
  • Collaborate with Group and Country organisations to align local business needs with global frameworks, while ensuring tax and regulatory compliance
  • Support internal and external audits, annual filings, and other statutory compliance activities
  • Promote a safe and compliant working environment in accordance with company policies, corporate values, and applicable legal requirements 


Position requirements    

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field   
  • Minimum 5 years of increasingly responsible accounting or auditing experience in larger organisation (experience in retail industry is an advantage)   
  • Ability to communicate in English 

· Mandatory SAP experience    

  • Advanced knowledge of local and international accounting principles   
  • Understanding the impact of company legal (GAAP, Tax, statistical) obligations, governance and compliance

Job description

  • Represent Logi Store in Serbia and promote the full product portfolio
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and actively expand the customer base across Serbia
  • Act as the main liaison between the Serbian market and headquarters in Hungary
  • Participate in the installation of automated storage systems; perform minor technical adjustments, maintenance, and repairs
  • Provide after-sales support to ensure client satisfaction and smooth operation of systems
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to secure long-term market growth

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of relevant sales experience (preferably in B2B and technical solutions)
  • Secondary technical education minimum (ideal profiles: electrician, mechatronics technician, or similar)
